WTF?????

I am so scared about how the election is going to turn out.  Like Palin I am the mother of 5 children, unlike Palin, I am scared for my children’s future. 

WHITE AMERICA…..you CANNOT vote tweedledum and tweedledummer into the White House!!!!! 

During this election something had gotten lost and that something is the truth.  It is of the utmost importance among White America that you not be fooled by McCain and Palin.  You must search for the truth and find out what is really going on because yall are losing your homes and going bankrupt too.  The foreclosure statistics speak for themselves.  I know that you would never knowingly vote Sarah Palin for president, but that is exactly what you will be doing if you use your vote to help them win.  What will it take for you to see the truth?  Let’s prove that we are no longer a racist society and vote the most qualified candidates into office.  In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ”Judge them not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character.”  After all we are equal in the eyes of bankruptcy, poverty, and foreclosure.  The eyes of the economy only see green, not black and white.  So we should see each other as equals.  If those two win the election the economy will be wiped out and you will be broke, starving, and struggling like everyone else.  The demise of this country will be a reflection of your own prejudices.  So you have a duty to your country to to the right thing and elect Obama as our next president.

Don’t vote with fear, hate, commonality, or prejudice.  Vote not with your eyes and not with your minds, but with your dwindling bank account, your mortgage payment, your grocery bill, your children’s education, your tax dollars, and your retirement plans.  Vote to bring your loved ones home from Iraq.  Vote to have better relationships with the countries that this administration has pissed on and pissed off.  Think about it, just as you have reservations about people with a different skin color, so do the countries that want to wipe out America.  With Obama in office we can begin to make peace with our enemies. 

Do the right thing and not the white thing.  This is not a white thing or a black thing.  This is about the most powerful country in the world on the brink of a depression.  Picture this country once the dollar ain’t worth a quarter, no one will trade with us, all of our banks close, the stock market crashes, everyone in foreclosure, everyone’s car being repossessed, everyone losing their jobs, crime going up, child abuse going up, suicide going up, while America goes down the drain. 

Imagine everyone getting back into their foreclosed homes, bankruptcy on the decline, unemployment going down, gas going down, the war over, all our soldiers coming home, health benefits for everyone, tax breaks, and the dollar getting stronger.

Picture a president who can mend our relationships abroad, fix healthcare, end the war, stop foreclosures, bring gas and food prices down, lower taxes for people who need it, repair wallstreet, build more schools, improve education, make sure more students graduate high school, send more students to college, stabilize our economy and rebuild America-Now picture him white.

AMAZED

I was getting some gas on Imperial Highway and noticed an amazing sight.  Almost everyone in the Nickerson Gardens housing projects in Los Angeles, CA has a satellite dish.  I saw a burgundy and brown Escalade on 24s, a black and yellow Charger with Tweedy Bird decals, a chromed out Chrysler 300, and an Infiniti truck with PRJCTHO license plates.  The children played in the dirt wearing $100 Jordan’s and Ed Hardy clothes, Their mothers congregated with the sun beaming on their Rolex necklaces and bracelets, while they flossed their $50 manicures, Baby Phat outfits, and new hair dos on each other.  One of ‘ems dope slangin’ boyfriend jumped out of his Jaguar (on 24s of course), tounged her down, and handed her a wad of cash that she stuffed in her tits.  He turned around, waved at a passing police officer, and patted his pockets.  The officer put up four fingers and pointed at his watch.  The d boy put up the peace sign, hopped in his Jag, and drove off.  I screwed my gas cap back on and drove off too.  Amazed at how good it is in the hood.

Getting Every Mother Situated

 

Written by Jason Lewis, Sentinel Staff Writer, on 06-25-2009 00:00 Favoured 9                                  Author Trizah Morris poses with her bestselling book Miracles of my Mistakes.  Morris used the money that she made to help families obtain services that they needed.  Trizah Morris had a very rough time when she moved to Los Angeles from the Midwest with her three children, and she had another child on the way. Morris had very limited resources, so she had to live in her car for her first two months. She used that experience to write a best selling book and to help other mothers get off of the streets. Morris was in need when she arrived, but because of a lot of red tape she was unable to get assistance from the social service offices. “It was hard because there was nowhere to turn,” Morris said. After social services closes the door, there are many places to get help from.” Morris did not want to turn to selling drugs or prostitution to earn money to purchase food, diapers, or gas. She kept her dignity and with the help of some caring people, she was able to pick herself up and give her family a home. Her children are now doing great. They are gifted and they are on track to have a very bright future. Morris has take her experiences and written the book Miracles of My Mistakes. With the money that she made she founded Getting Every Mother Situated (GEMS), which is a nonprofit organization designed to help families get the funds that they need to support themselves. GEMS has helped a number of families since it was founded two years ago. Morris feels that women can relate to her better than social workers because she has lived in their shoes, where many social workers have not gone through that struggle. GEMS provides emergency assistance, referrals, and resources to low-income single mothers. The organization assists families with utility bills, diapers, and transportation as well as the many other needs that may arise during the month. They also provide referrals and resourceful information to meet those needs that are beyond our scope of assistance. GEMS emergency relief and family programs provide immediate intervention and relief services to low income families in crises situations. Clothing and furniture programs provides used clothing, furniture, appliances, and household goods. School program offers school clothes and supplies. The holiday program gives food, toys, and gifts to make the holiday special. GEMS receives no state or federal funding, or insurance reimbursement. It is financially dependent on donations from sponsors that want to help out families with emergency needs. At times Morris has taken money out of her own pockets to help fund the organization. What inspires me?

What inspires me?  Good question…..

When I take the time to think about it, what inspires me the most are my children.  They are the reason I get out of bed everyday (because I have to take them to school.  LOL!). 

I am also inspired my relationship with myself.  For the past two years I have been getting to know myself because I didn’t know who I was. One day I looked in the mirror and introduced myself to myself and I must admit it was nice to meet me!  I told myself that I would talk to me later and left the mirror feeling like I had met a new old friend.

I took myself out to lunch the next day.  We had teriyaki salmon salad and lemonade.  After lunch I took me to the mall.  I didn’t buy a new dress or a pair of jeans.  I didn’t even pick up that to die for handbag I saw in the boutique.  I went straight to JCPenny’s and bought me some brand new panties.  Cotton draws quenched my thirst for the day and I was happy.

 

So….. What inspires me?  I would have to say it’s this new relationship I am in with myself because it’s going great.  Like I said we’ve been hanging out for a couple of years and during that time I have learned so much about me.  Although I do get on my nerves sometimes and I get even more difficult around ‘that’ time of the month.  The good days definitely outweigh the bad and I am glad I met me.

The littered alleys are yellow brick roads lined with Jacaranda trees. 

The sirens from the firetrucks, ambulances, and police cars are church bells tolling 12 o’clock. 

The prostitutes standing on the corners are picturesque statues from the Roman Empire. 

The bad kids throwing rocks at the cars in the parking lot are well refined children playing croquet on the lawn. 

As I can’t lay in my bed any longer, I open my eyes and everything was what it really is.

The Philosophy Surrounding Achieveology

Hopefully by now you have been motivated to begin your quest to live the life that you were designed to live.  In doing so, you have become a witness to the Achieveology Experience  a life changing revelation of your spirit that helps you do 3 fundamental things:

• Visualize your visions
• Create concepts
• Perpetuate your purpose

Webters’s defines the word ‘achieve’ as: to carry out successfully.  Let’s go there for a moment…..

All day long we achieve minor achievements that we take for granted simply because they are a matter of course.  ie. we just rising and shining each morning, wake up get out of bed, go to the bathroom, wash our face, brush our teeth, grab some breakfast ect.  Not once do we think about the paraplegics in the world that have to get lifted out of the beds, placed in a wheelchair, and have to have someone help them with those little things that we do everyday.  We carried out all those tasks successfully (achieved) them and thought nothing of it.  Then there are those achievements that take time, that you have to work hard for, and when you get to where you wanted to be you feel this sense of pride and accomplishment.  You pop ya colla and say “yeah, I did that!” 

When you turn your dial to the Achievement station you will find that your life will unfold right before your very eyes.  You may work towards achieveing your goals for weeks, even months on end with out little or no sleep at all, but you don’t feel tired or you don’t feel fatigued.  You feel constantly renewed and revitalized because you are working towards something that you are passionate about.  It the difference between byching about $5 a gallon gas and being excited about spending $5,000 on a gift for that special someone.  The latter doesn’t bother you because it is something that you ‘want’ to do.  You get that same passion and excitement when you are working towards achieve something.  Ask yourself, are you hard a worker or are you working hard towards your goal?  One makes you feel fulfilled and happy, while the other makes you feel used and unappreciated. 

The philosophy surrounding Achieveology is fundamental to tapping into and nurturing that part of our being that wants more out of life and to help you find out not only who you are, but who you are meant to be.
